As we develop an intimate relationship with God and with others we are going to be tempted to get off course along the way. In this series we will focus on how establishing boundaries allows us to continue to be more intimate with God and others. Guard Your Life: Life is filled with unexpected events that can cause us to lose our focus from time to time and our natural tendency is to return to what is comfortable and familiar, but that is not always the best solution. Guard Your Faith: An intimate relationship with God develops as we continually guard our faith in Him and believe in the promises he has made to us. Guard Your Grace: It is easy to fall into the trap of withholding the grace we have received from God and sharing it with others and it can also be hard to remember the grace we have received from God...guard your grace. |

Guard Your Speech: Our tongue can get us into so much trouble and the crazy thing is we can stop it, but we must guard against getting sucked into the trap of idol chatter.
Guard Your Desires: Sometimes we don't know what our desires are until we are so far off course that we can see clearly any longer. We must guard the desires we have so that we don't return to what is evil.
Guard Your Learning: In an effort to be more appealing to culture without confronting we can be pulled in all kinds of directions when it comes to what we have learned about the Gospel. Paul wants to ensure that Timothy remains guarded in his learning.
Guard Your Truth: Paul instructs Timothy to remain faithful to the absolute truth found in the Word of God. As we go through life we are going to be persuaded to compromise on the truth and we must stand firm in the truth of God's word.
